What are wooden saddles, beddings or cradles?
Wooden saddles (also called cradles or beds) are custom-made wooden supports and bottoms. They provide extra support during transport and storage.
What are wooden saddles, beddings or cradles for?
They are suitable for transporting and storing goods that cannot stand by themselves, that need support, or that may not touch the floor. Such as oval and round products (like boilers and pipes) and installations with an irregular underside or parts that need extra support.
They are ISPM 15 certified, and thus suitable for worldwide export.
How does DEUFOL proceed?
We make the export saddles to fit your product and the transport:
We design the saddle according to the dimensions, weight and shape of the product. We take into account the mode of transport and the route.
When necessary, we provide additional protection such as:
- Anti-slip mats on the bedding to prevent
displacement during transport. - Vibration-damping and protective foams
(e.g. from the raw material Neopolen) on the contact
surfaces of the product with the saddle,
to prevent scratches.
The fixing of the product to the bedding so that it moves together with the goods.
Shrink foil around (part of) the product to protect it
from dirt, dust, scratches and weather conditions.VCI foil or aluminium foil in combination with
desiccant to prevent rust.Extra sleeves in the cradles to enable easy
and safe hoisting.We produce and supply the cradles. And we can also pack your product. At your premises, at Deufol, or elsewhere.
